The aim of the activity was to support prospective students in discovering the academic, cultural, and international opportunities offered by the University of Messina. By providing a direct and engaging experience of campus life, the event aimed to facilitate informed choices regarding university studies. Moreover, the initiative promoted international mobility and encouraged interaction between local and Erasmus students, highlighting the inclusive and globally oriented character of the University.
The UniMe Open Day 2025, held on 15 and 16 April at the University of Messina’s Annunziata Campus, was a large-scale orientation event open to high school students, future undergraduates, and the wider academic community. Organised by the University of Messina, the event showcased the full academic offer, with all departments participating through exhibitions, practical demonstrations, interactive workshops, and guided tours of university facilities.
Throughout the two-day event, visitors had the opportunity to explore laboratories, sports complexes, libraries, and student services, including orientation and tutoring offices, international mobility desks, psychological support centres, and accommodation facilities. The goal was to provide a full overview of university life, with a particular focus on resources dedicated to student well-being and success.
ESN Messina took part by introducing the Erasmus+ programme and sharing experiences of international students currently living and studying in the city. This gave participants a chance to understand the benefits of studying abroad, as well as the supportive community that welcomes students from all over the world.
