The goal of the activity was to welcome the newly arrived Erasmus students to our city and have a nice moment together, while having them taste a variety of local and traditional Italian dishes for the first time.
This event is yearly organized by ESN Modena, as it's a good way to get to know the new exchange students, especially during the welcome weeks. This time it was hosted at Bocciofila Modenese, a restaurant known in the city for its traditional and homemade food. The participants got to try a variety of cold cuts and cheeses and traditional Emilian breads suh as "crescentine", a round-shaped flat bread, and "gnocco fritto", an airy fried dough, which is a staple product of Modenese cuisine. Everybody enjoyed the evening and particular attention was paid to include participants with food allergies or anybody that followed ethical diet plans.
