Plot
The Man. The Legend. The King of Rock & Roll.
The shady Colonel Tom Parker knows he has someone special in front of him when he first meets the young singer Elvis Presley. “Are you ready to fly?”, Parker asks him. “I am ready to fly”, Elvis replies. And boy, he does!
Shaking up a whole generation, Elvis starts rocking on stage like nobody ever did before. A white youngster influenced by blues and gospel music, dancing like there’s no tomorrow and sounding like a young god will soon be known to the whole world as The King of Rock and Roll! However, not everyone is amused by the morally questionable stage performance and the breeze of fresh air in the music industry.
Colonel Parker, however, is more than happy about his lucky find! After all, it is he who has the exclusive control of the boy’s career. Yet, when a young woman enters the live of Elvis, the relationship between the manager and the superstar starts to become complicated. And to make matter worse, the boy even wants to fight for his political views and makes his own decision ...
