This day trip brought students closer to the cultural heritage of another charming city in Portugal, famous for its canals and typical sweets.
During this trip, participants arrived in Praia da Barra for a surf session, followed by a tour to the shore of Costa Nova, a charming area of Aveiro, known for its striped houses. Then, participants were led to the centre of Aveiro, where volunteers from ESN Aveiro led them on a tour of its most iconic places. After the tour, everyone joined a 'ovos moles' (a traditional Aveiro sweet/dessert) workshop which included a tasting of these typical sweets.
This activity fostered more interest in Aveiro and its traditions, like riding the typical boats in the city's canals. Participants enjoyed both the sports activity (surf morning) and getting to know this small city.
