One of the main goals of this activity is related to the promotion of Portuguese culture through sharing the history of Portugal and Lisbon. This activity also intends to integrate international students into the local and international environment.
This tour takes international students to one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon, Belém — a famous museum district, as the home of many of the most notable monuments of Lisbon and Portugal alike, such as the Belém Tower. During the three-hour tour, our participants had the opportunity to visit the museum's MAAT, Museu dos Coches and Centro Cultural de Belém, and historic landmarks as the Palace of Belém, Jerónimos Monastery, Monumento dos Combatentes do Ultramar, Belem Tower, and Padrão dos Descobrimentos.
International students had the opportunity to spend a beautiful afternoon in one of the most important historical points of Portugal. They also had the opportunity to try the famous pastry, Pastel de Belém.
