The goal of Talkative Nights was to create a comfortable and engaging environment where Erasmus students could practice their speaking skills, express their thoughts on various topics, and engage in meaningful conversations. The event aimed to improve participants' confidence in speaking, encourage cultural exchange, and strengthen social bonds through interactive discussions.
Talkative Nights is an annual event designed as a relaxed and interactive speaking club, where participants gather to discuss various topics in a friendly setting. This session coincidentally took place on Valentine’s Day, which unintentionally led to many discussions revolving around relationships, love, and dating traditions across different cultures.
The night was filled with lively debates, lighthearted discussions, and even some fun relationship trivia. While the original plan was to cover a broad range of topics, the organic shift towards relationships added an entertaining and unexpected twist to the event. Participants shared their perspectives on love, cultural differences in dating, and personal experiences, creating a fun and insightful atmosphere. At the end of the evening, we played a game titled - WHO AM I - where the participants picked a certain charachter and or individual and the chosed person had to ask questions that could only be answered with yes or no and guess who they were.
Despite the unplanned theme, the event successfully achieved its purpose of fostering communication, breaking language barriers, and allowing students to connect through engaging conversations. The mix of structured discussions and spontaneous exchanges made for a memorable and enjoyable evening.
