The main purpose of the event was to raise awareness among international students and the volunteers too on the issue of recycling, particularly of clothes, to encourage the purchase of second-hand clothes and responsible consumption by reducing waste.
The event took place at the Ostello Bello in Naples. Volunteers took care of the logistics of the tables and clothes (some of which were brought by the volunteers themselves) and placed on the various tables. Participants were allowed to take as many clothes as they brought, or alternatively pay a symbolic 0.50 cents per head. In addition, participants were asked to bring recyclable bags (e.g. totebags) from home and any unsold clothes were given to charity. The whole event was accompanied by music and aperitifs.
