Objective / Goal of the activity

To be a scout volunteer for one day, to learn how to survive in a wild environment, how to target with a bow and other useful techniques.

Description

Everyone dreamed at least once to be a scout just like we have seen in movies, and now you have the chance to be a scout for a day and to learn how to live in the marvelous nature. This event provides 4 amazing workshops that will make sure that the survival techniques are learnt in the most fun way, that everyone sure will enjoy.

1. Water filter – each team will learn how to procure their water and how to build a proper water filter with the materials they have;
2. First aid – learn how to give first aid in different unpredicted situations while hiking
3. The weather – find out how to interpret the forecast and to predict the weather
4. Archery – learn to hunt; exercise with a bow and arrows, targeting a specific point

Scoutball: It is a scouts’ specific game – a combination between American football and soccer. We’ll have 2 teams, a ball and a field. Each player is going to have a scarf attached to their back which could be taken by an opponent. If he/she has the ball, then he/she will be out of the game for a minute; otherwise, the one taking the scarf off will be out of the game for a minute. A goal is scored by getting the ball passed the opponents’ goal’s line.

Result of the activity

The participants learned useful techniques to survive in nature, as well as to appreciate the environment, to work in a team, to enjoy small things around us.
