The goal of the Wanderless jazz concert event is to offer students and young audiences an intimate, high-quality live jazz experience in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. By showcasing local talent and drawing inspiration from Aarhus’ rich jazz history, the event aims to promote cultural engagement, musical storytelling, and mindfulness in the midst of student life. It invites both jazz lovers and newcomers to connect with music, each other, and the moment—reviving a historic student tradition in a fresh and contemporary form.
On 2 April, Studenterhus Aarhus will be transformed into an atmospheric new jazz club for a relaxed, intimate and authentic concert experience with the band Wanderless
We welcome everyone - especially those who haven't experienced jazz up close before
Wanderless is a fresh local quartet led by vibraphonist and composer Jeppe Hauberg. The quartet consists of a unique combination of vibraphone, piano, double bass and drums and four experienced conservatory students
They focus on honesty, storytelling and sound through image-creating and cinematic music that offers Nordic jazz, groove, nostalgia and energy
The honest expression of the musicians creates an experience that connects the audience and the musicians in the present moment, which is much needed in a busy studio life.

The concept stands on the shoulders of the Aarhus Student Jazz Association, which in the 1960s organised concerts with a royal line up of national and international superstars such as Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson and Svend Asmussen. The concerts were full of energetic moments between acclaimed musicians and enthusiastic audiences.
Former Bishop Kjeld Holm wrote in connection with. Asmussen's 100th birthday: '[...] I remember an evening at Stakladen in Aarhus in 1965 when he played with Stuff Smith, and the whole hall boiled, and you became someone else that night and took days to come down again (Kristeligt Dagblad 4/3 2016).
Student Jazz anno 2025 will recreate this magical atmosphere, and you don't want to miss it!
