The goal of this activity is to help our volunteers build skills and gain the confidence to start doing their own events, both by being taught the hard skills of how to do events and necessary information specific to the context our section operates in, but also by group exercises with the aim of both teaching them cooperation skills, but also to make it easier for our volunteers to find someone they share interests with and can start building ideas for events with
All new volunteers in the section are invited to a workshop for how to do events. First, we present the core causes of ESN that we wish to promote during events, as well as technical things needed for doing events. Participants are then given an hour working in groups to create an event. They then present this to everyone, after which a panel consisting of 3 board members ask questions about the event to highlight the things needed to take into consideration when doing events.
