Goal of the Activity

To improve both physical and mental well-being by encouraging people to be active, enjoy nature, and take care of themselves by buying organic products at the local market.

Description

Under the banner of World Health Day, participants embarked on a dynamic journey, blending sports and spectacle into a single, unforgettable day “ a true "sportacular".

Beginning early in the morning at Mount Nif, the day started with warm-up exercises transitioning into training to the beat of favorite songs. It was a great energizer to boost mood and prevent injuries. The first trail, rated as beginner-friendly, traced alongside a scenic river. Lasting approximately 3 hours, this segment provided moments for lively engagement, with students enjoying active games like ninja and partaking in sportive challenges like the longest plank time and so forth. Feeling enthusiastic, the group agreed to take on a more challenging trail with steeper slopes. The effort paid off with spectacular views of the mountains. This was a great opportunity for attendees to stay in silence, listening to nature, which positively contributed to mental health. We concluded our day at the local bazaar in Kaynaklar village, where we ate home-made food as well as purchased naturally grown vegetables, fruits, and other organic products.

In total, the hiking adventure covered 12 kilometres, providing a rewarding physical challenge and a chance to appreciate nature's beauty. Spending nearly the entire day outdoors, blending exercising with mindful recharge after exams, greatly benefited both the physical and mental well-being of the participants.
