Description

The Sport Week is a project of ESN Zagreb that has been held every semester since 2016 in Zagreb as our part in helping promote a healthy lifestyle through sports activities.

This Sport Week, however, is special in that we took it a few steps further by including, not only sports activities, but activities to stimulate the brain and further promote a healthy lifestyle and improve our mental well-being, by adding a Healthy lifestyleworkshop and a sports quiz.

The events that were held throughout the week are as follows:

  • 08.04. - Rugby training (in collaboration with our partners from the Rugby Club "Lokomotiva")
  • 09.04. - Healthy lifestyle workshop (in collaboration with our partners from PROBION, an organization of students from the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb
  • 09.04. - Dance class (in collaboration with our partners from Funkadelik Dance School
  • 10.04. - Karting (in collaboration with our partners from Karting Arena Zagreb)
  • 11.04. - Sport quiz
  • 12.04. - Muay Thai training (in collaboration with our partners from Nikola Šubić Zrinski Muay Thai)
  • 13.04. - Bubble Football

A planned activity that had to be cancelled due to unfortunate weather circumstances was a hiking session to Sljeme on the 14th which is usually the crown of our Sport week.

Result of the activity

The result was that we improved the health and well-being of participants, promoted critical thinking and an active lifestyle, while having fun and promoting our partners in the process.
