Welcoming new students in Wageningnen and provide a way for them to meet new people. Providing a place for social contacts while doing a fun activity and learning moe about Wageningen, the Netherlands and other cultures.
First a speedmeet of around 45 minutes (powerpoint with explanation and questions for every round). Most important that they talk to a new person every round for +/- 3 minutes and then find a new person to talk to. Boardies announce the rounds and also talk to people!
Break of 10 min and then Pubquiz after the speedmeet. We asked if they could make groups of 8-10 people. Pubquiz on a powerpoint presentation with 2 boardies as hosts (was a lot of fun yeah). They got paper and pens and after each round they had to check their own answer. 5 rounds of 8 questions in total. After the last round they handed in the answers and we checked the winning team. Prize was a package of Dutch snacks. After pubquiz we just chilled and had some drinks with the members.
