The goal of the event was to contribute to the communication between the students, to help them get in touch, meet new people and make new friends only by listening to them and without have the capability to see how the person they're talking to looks.
The students from the beginning of the event had their eyes closed with a bandana, so as not to be able to see the person they were talking. Each conversation lasted for about five minutes and at the end of each conversation students had to do either a thumbs up or a thumbs down, depending on their willingness to get in touch again with that person, to the volunteer that was responsible for them. After that, the volunteer helped one of them to continue to the next table, for the next conversation. Students had their eyes covered during the whole event. At the end of the event, and after all the matches had been gathered, students were informed about them, by sending them the names and emails of the people they have been matched with.
