Objective / Goal of the activity
Our aim was to show and to raise awareness in the role and situation of women in the rural in Turkey both local and international students.
Description
We gathered together with our international and local students in a local quite pub and we organized the place to watch the movie that we picked. We choose the movie "Mustang" (2015). The film is set in a remote Turkish village and depicts the lives of five young orphaned sisters and challenges they face growing up as girls in a conservative society.
Result of the activity
After we finished the movie every participant gave examples of the women in their countries. We talked about the similarities and differences between the cultures and countries.
