This event was a way to give something to the community and to have our students help impact people’s lives - more particularly, people with economial and social needs. It was also a way to give our students the opportunity to experience volunteering.
Prior to the event we organized a WhatsApp Group for better communication with the participants and to talk about the ingredients that were needed for the event as we donated one of them - in this case it was meat as it was the most expensive. On the day of the event we went to the canteen of Florinhas do Vouga, the association we paired with, and began with cooking the dinner. After the dinner was ready, we started serving the plates. At the end we helped clean the dishes and the canteen.
We had a very limited number of people to take to the event as the canteen was not very big and our partnership limited from four to five students, besides ESN Aveiro volunteers.
