The goal of the this activity is to raise awareness on LGBTQI+ topics.
Cineforum is made to gather our Erasmus+ students and let them express their opinions on a certain topic after having seen a topic-related film.
The film chosen was "The Danish Girl" a film from 2015 winner of several awards, including an Oscar and a Queer Lion.
The film, inspired by the lives of Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegner, tells the story of the marriage between the two danish painters, exploring the theme of transexuality, the impact it has on a couple's relationship, and the psychological and social implications in a time where every "deviance from the norm" was treated as a mental illness.
After the screening, there was a short debate with our fellow colleague from IRIS Udine to better understand the film's themes.
