The main goal of this activity was basic introduction to extremely practical and relatively easily vested art of "Krav Maga"; a form of self-defense first developed by the Israeli army in the 1940s. This activity was also held as a physical health promotion as well as a way for international and local university students to acquaint with each other.
Eleven of us had gathered at 20 o'clock in front of the Krav Maga Center Gripe. We were welcomed by warm and ludicrous, but also professional and fierce instructors. For the beginning, we had a quick warm up so we don't pull any muscle later on. After that, we started with the basic punches and proper fist posture. When we got a hang of it, instructors then proceeded on showing us the most vulnerable parts of human body, and how and where to aim when defending ourselves from an attacker. By the smiles on every face, I could see that all of us had a lots of fun despite couple of frisky punches and slaps landing on your face.
