participants
- Finding ways to connect people besides screens during the lockdown
- Connecting people of different backgrounds (nationality, age, education)
- Helping international students find a way to integrate with the local community
- Fighting loneliness and isolation
- Giving people a reason to use their creativity, bring something personal and spend time doing their hobbies
- Fighting consumerism and environmental impact: homemade gifts (not bought) and we used recycled papers for packaging
An exchange of homemade gifts between students and locals from Pau in collaboration with the social centre La Pépinière. Participants were encouraged to hand in something personal (something they already had at home or something they could make). In exchange, they would receive the gift from another participant. We recommended them to add an explanatory letter so their partner could know the personal value of the gift they received. They could choose to either stay anonymous or provide their contact details so they could be contacted by their secret santa partner
