This event promotes ecology, which is currently a top topic important for the whole world. Trying to be more eco-friendly is certainly something everyone should strive for. Even small actions such as announcing that fast fashion stores are one of the main polluters of our planet affects consciousness. In addition, presenting purchases in a second-hand store in such a fun form as choosing an outfit is a more pleasant form of getting to know the second-hand world for people who may have been ashamed of shopping in such stores or felt uncomfortable.
The event consisted in the Erasmus students preparing outfits made of second-hand clothes. We wanted to show students the Warsaw secondary stores and highlight the problem of pollution caused by the fashion industry and shopping in fast fashion stores. Dressing in second hand shops is becoming more and more fashionable and is definitely more ecological. We wanted to create an opportunity for people who have not tried shopping in second-hand stores to experience it for the first time. We split into several groups where Erasmus students were supposed to dress ESNer. Then those willing could buy things that caught their eye.
