The initiative, in collaboration with 2hands Macerata, AIACE Italia and NonCiPiove, aimed to involve international students and local people in the promotion of the safeguard of the environment, in particular of the seaside of the Adriatic Sea. The main goal was to raise awareness among young and adult people about the importance of protecting nature and encouraging wildlife protection by reducing waste and promoting recycling. The theme of environmental sustanaibility was the main principle according to which the event was made.
The activity took place on the 18th of May 2024 and the meeting point was the chalet "La Bussola" in Civitanova Marche (MC).
We went to Civitanova Marche by train and then we took a bus to reach the chalet.
Once we arrived we have been offered breakfast by the chalet, then all the participants started to clean the area of the beach identified as the site of the clean up. We collected 111 kilos of waste.
After collecting garbage we had an aperitif at the chalet "G7" and a break for lunch at the chalet "Il Veneziano".
After that, participants had the possibility to play beach volley, have a walk and take a swim in the sea.
In the afternoon we went back to Macerata by train.
