Red Flowers against violence, for women's rights

The initiative consisted in four main stages:

• On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, we launched a campaign on our social networks to raise awareness on the theme and to promote the initiative of “La Casa della Donna”. The campaign consisted in an informative part and an interactive part, mainly based on a call to action to create red flowers. 
• On the 23rd of October we went to meet the activists of “La Casa della Donna”, to introduce our volunteers and international students to this association and its activities. After that, we all made red flowers (using different types of fabrics and other materials) to be used in the above-mentioned campaign. 
• On the 25th of November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we met at dawn with the volunteers from “La Casa della Donna” and placed all the flowers in the main areas of the city (main squares, University, etc.). By doing that, the citizens of Pisa could notice the installation as soon as they woke up.
• Later on the same day, during the afternoon, we took part in a human chain through the city squares with testimonies on the theme. For the event, two international students also created some posters.
