The objective of this ESN activity is to create a space for cultural exchange and collaborative learning through a book club centered on The Housemaid book. The aim is to encourage critical thinking, open dialogue, and active participation among international students, allowing them to share perspectives, reflections, and personal experiences related to the work.
The activity took place in the common space located on the lower floor of the Three Towers at the University of Cantabria. Participants gathered for a book club session dedicated to the assistant’s book, where around fifteen discussion questions had been prepared in advance. Throughout the session, attendees engaged in an open and dynamic debate, exploring new perspectives, sharing opinions, and offering constructive critiques about the book. The relaxed setting encouraged active participation and thoughtful conversation, fostering both reflection and connection among the international students involved.
