The goal was to get together with international students, have a fun night and get to know the different traditions the countries have on Halloween night. Inclusion was important at the event, because some events can be very pricey and this one was only 2 euros.
"Erasmus Student Network Hasselt and the International Council invite you to come to our intercultural Pumpkin Party on Wednesday the 30th of October! Here we will carve pumpkins and serve themed drinks and snacks.
The event starts at 6.30 PM at the campus in Diepenbeek (in the back of the restaurant). The price is 2 euro. Pumpkins, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are included.
Dress up! Try to bring something / dress up as something typical from your country!"
All of the students got to carve a pumpkin and enjoy some food and drinks.
It was the first time that we organized a 'Pumpkin Party'. There were around 30 people, which is a lot more than we expected. We got great feedback and everyone had a good time. The event went as planned.
