Students were invited to take part in some "art therapy" by painting some pottery, in a calm and informal setting. The objective was to help everyone feel more self-empowered, to reduce stress and offer everyone the chance to express themselves in a creative way.
A limited number of tickets were sold to keep this event more relaxed. Everyone was allowed to bring their own drinks and snacks to share. All materials and guidance were provided, and students painted either one mug, small plate or a bowl each, which they were able to collect one week later.
Feedback was positive, the participants really enjoyed this activity as it something different to our regular events, which usually take place in a big group. Some did feel very relaxed and reflective while painting, however others were very stressed as they could not complete their design the way they had imagined! Overall, everyone was very proud of their pottery and got to know others with similar interests.
