Raise awareness among international students and local community about the issue of trash pollution
The activity was carried out in one of the most polluted areas in L'Aquila but, at the same time, close to a shopping center highly frequented. This choice gave us the possibility to be seen by the local community and helped us raising awareness among citizens too.
We meet around 9.30am and we started with an introductory speech, in which we explained the goals of the day, the reasons why we were there doing the activity. We shared thoughts and reflections on the issue of waste pollution, we handed out gloves and stick to all guys and we were ready to start!
All the parecipants have found this activity usefull and helpfull for the environment. The amount of garbage collected made us realize the importance of having good habits about waste and differentiation of waste.
