The goal was to encourage students to protect the environment and to show them how important the environment and nature are to life.
On summer of 2017, Croatian coast was hit by a series of wildfires that devastated most of our forests in Dalmatia. Boranka is a nation-wide project determined to plant trees on those hit spots all around Croatia and has partnered with many organizations. Volunteers from all around Croatia are helping this cause and our Erasmus students were a part of it!
On Sunday, OCT 27, we went to Mosor, the mountain devastated by fire, and spent the whole morning planting new trees and taking care of old ones. 🌳💚
About 26 students with few ESN Split volunteers planted around 30 new trees. Everyone was happy about it and after the whole morning they felt really proud because they've helped our nature.
