Reconnect the Erasmus students with nature, animals and raise awareness about pet abandonment issues in Portugal in local space with a simple walk in the park with our pets.
We understand that during the period abroad, our students miss their pets. What better way to reconnect with the animals, nature, and raise awareness about social aspects like pet abandonment in Portugal if not with a pet walk in the park?
This simple activity allows students to enjoy intercultural exchange in the open air, interacting with other locals who were also pet walking.
The students had a good time, enjoying the time with animals and interacting with local people. We had cake, and a debriefing session in the end which culminated in a positive note and the promise of redoing these types of activities in the future and also at the dog kannel.
