Pergamon Trip

With the support of our Ege University International Relations Office, we took our international students to Pergamon, one of İzmir's significant ancient historical sites. Led by our tour guide, we first explored the ancient city. To reach the area where the upper echelons of ancient society lived and which houses the grand theater, we took a cable car. Afterward, we had a lunch break at a restaurant featuring dishes special to İzmir and Turkey. Following lunch, we gave students free time to explore key landmarks in the modern-day district of Bergama, including a church and the local market.
