Goal of the Activity
The aim of the activity was to show our international students what are and how to cook panellets, a typical Catalan food of All Saints' Day. They are small cakes made with a mixture of sugar, eggs, and almonds, with different toppings. With this Cooking Workshop, we want to embrace the Catalan culture while socializing and learning cooking skills.
Description
The international students were separated into groups, each of them cooking a different type of panellets. The first step to make the dough is the same for everyone but the shape and toppings were different for each group: pine nuts, almonds, cherries, coconut and cocoa panellets were cooked. In the end, they were all shared between the participants.
By organising this activity, the organisers want to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals
