The goal of the activity was to offer a cultural discovery of two unique cities, Venice and Padua, while allowing Erasmus students to connect with one another.
We arrived in Mestre and checked in at the hostel before heading to Venice to explore its unique historical and architectural heritage. After having lunch together, Erasmus students were given free time to wander through the city’s canals, bridges and monumental squares at their own pace, discovering the traditions and artistic identity that make Venice one of Italy’s most iconic cultural sites.
We later met again for an aperitivo before returning to the hostel to rest.
The following day, we travelled to Padua, where students had some time to explore the city on their own before joining a guided city tour kindly offered by ESN Padova. Through this tour, participants learned about Padua’s rich history, its medieval urban layout, and its artistic and academic heritage, including landmarks connected to the university tradition and the Veneto cultural landscape.
After a final moment of free time, we all headed to the station to catch the train back to Milan.
