To volunteer at an outdoor soup kitchen and help feed London's most vulnerable.
ESN City London organised an activity to volunteer with Children of Adam, an organisation that holds an outdoor soup kitchen every Sunday to give food to the needy and/or homeless. Volunteers were encouraged to bring donations where possible however the main objective was to help the organisation with the distribution of food outside in the winter evening's cold. Around 150 clients were served on this particular evening.
Bought an awareness to the difficulties faced by those affected by homelessness or in need of food, especially in winter's time when it is very cold and dark. The event ran smoothly with the help of the volunteers and both the organisers and the clients that came expressed their thanks. A few of the volunteers wxpressed interest in coming to help CoA as individuals, so the whole activity was successful.
