the goal of the night was to go watch "Falstaff" at Teatro Regio in Parma.
We organized a special cultural evening for our Erasmus students at the Teatro Regio di Parma, one of Italy’s most prestigious opera houses. Founded in 1829 by Duchess Maria Luigia of Austria, the Teatro Regio is celebrated for its neoclassical architecture, exceptional acoustics, and extraordinary operatic tradition. It is considered one of Italy’s foremost historic theaters, alongside La Scala in Milan and Teatro di San Carlo in Naples.
For this occasion, we arranged tickets to attend Falstaff by Giuseppe Verdi, performed as part of the renowned Verdi Festival. This brilliant comic opera follows the misadventures of Sir John Falstaff, who, in an attempt to improve his fortunes, tries to court two married women—only to find himself the target of their clever revenge. The lively staging and spirited performances offered the students a unique opportunity to experience Verdi’s final masterpiece in its home city.
To conclude the evening, we covered the entry fees for an exclusive aftershow aperitivo, where participants enjoyed drinks and small bites in a refined and festive atmosphere. It was an unforgettable night of music, culture, and shared experiences in one of Italy’s most iconic opera venues.
