Goal of the Activity

The main goal of this event was to allow Erasmus students to showcase their sporting abilities and gain competitive experience in a fun and stimulating environment. Additionally, the event aimed to promote team spirit, fair play, and personal development through sport.

Description

On 03rd March 2024, an exciting qualification tournament for the National Erasmus Games 2024 (NEG) took place at the "Centro Universitario Sportivo", in Messina. The event, held from 9:00 to 14:00, provided Erasmus students with the opportunity to compete in thrilling 5-a-side football and volleyball matches. With a participation fee of only €5 per person for each sport, players could enjoy a comprehensive experience, including team and match photos, the use of the field and ball, team uniforms, and the chance to compete under the watchful eye of a referee.

But the rewards didn't stop there: to add further incentive to the competition, exciting prizes were announced. The winning team received a refund of half the fee for the NEG, while the title of MVP (Most Valuable Player) guaranteed a full refund of the fee. Additionally, the prize for the Best Goalkeeper, exclusively for 5-a-side football, also offered a full refund of the fee for the National Erasmus Games 2024. This exhilarating event had a beneficial impact on the mental and physical health of university students, offering them a fun, stimulating, and socially enriching experience.
