Goal of the Activity

The aim of the activity is to empower participants to identify key competenciesacquired during mobility and volunteering, find opportunities within ESN to develop them, and plan their next steps for career growth with facilitator support.

The objectives are following.
1. Participants will be able to identify the competencies acquired during a mobility opportunity and during volunteering in ESN.
2. Participants will be able to recognize opportunities in mobility programs and ESN which can be used to develop desired competencies.
3. Participants will be able to plan their next steps regarding mobilities and ESN involvement in order to support their career development with the support of facilitators.

These objectives are closely connected to the Erasmus Careers project’s aim of integrating competences into career development. By helping volunteers understand and recognize their competencies, recognize development opportunities, and plan their career paths, we are directly contributing to the project's mission of improving employability and preparing participants for their careers. Our activity helps volunteers turn their mobility and volunteering experiences into real, actionable career advantages, thereby supporting their long-term professional success and aligning with the project's goals of maximizing the impact of mobility and volunteering on career development.

Description

The activity will be carried out during a few-days training by 2 experienced trainers who have previously delivered trainings on these topics and are familiar with the topic. The topic of Erasmus Careers will be tackled in a hour and a half workshop which incorporates the elements of role play, self-reflections, group work and individual work.

The activity is designed to empower participants by helping them identify key competencies gained from their ESN volunteering and mobility experiences. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how these competencies align with their career paths through reflective exercises and a case study analysis. They will also learn to connect specific ESN and mobility opportunities with their career goals, making the pathway from their skills to actionable career steps more apparent.

By developing personalized career plans, including identifying opportunities, addressing obstacles, and accessing support resources, participants will enhance their employability and career planning skills. This session not only benefits the participants directly but also has a multiplying effect, as they will be able to share their insights and strategies with peers, thus extending the impact within their ESN network.

Overall, the workshop helped participants turn their experiences into tangible career advantages, aligning with the Erasmus Careers project's goal of integrating competencies into career development.
