Goal of the Activity

The goal of the trip to Naples and Pompeii is to offer Erasmus students a culturally enriching experience, blending history, archaeology, and exploration. By visiting Pompeii, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the ancient ruins of this iconic city, gaining insights into Roman life and the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Additionally, exploring Naples allows students to delve into the vibrant culture and rich heritage of Southern Italy, sampling local cuisine, admiring historical landmarks, and interacting with locals. Overall, the trip aims to broaden students' horizons, deepen their understanding of Italian history and culture, and create lasting memories of their time abroad.

Description

The adventure commenced with a scenic train journey from Milan to Naples, setting the stage for an immersive exploration of Southern Italy. Upon arrival, Erasmus students delved into the bustling streets of Naples, savoring its vibrant atmosphere and culinary delights. The following day, the group embarked on a guided tour of Pompeii, led by knowledgeable experts who unveiled the secrets of this ancient city frozen in time. As students wandered through the haunting ruins, they gained a profound understanding of life in antiquity and the devastating impact of the volcanic eruption. After a captivating day in Pompeii, the journey continued with another day of discovery in Naples, where students soaked in the city's charm and cultural treasures. Then we went back to Milan via train.
