Goal of the activity
Despite the global emergency situation, we wanted to let our exchange students discover the rich cultural offering of our city, Milan. During this virtual event, after a little chat, we explored - thanks to Google Art&Culture - the collection of the Museo del 900, focusing on its masterpieces.
At the end we played a Kahoot quiz to test what the students had learnt.
The goals of this events have been:
- Introduce on of the most important Milanese (and Italian) Museum to our international students;
- Increase the interaction between the students, locked down at home;
- Improve, during this crisis situation, the mental well-being of our students, trying to distract them.
Learning Objective for the participants
The learning objectives for the participants of this event have been:
- Understand the importance of the main contemporary artistic movement (Futurism, Spatialism, Poor Art, Kinetic Art…);
- Learn something new about some of the most famous Italian contemporary artists (Pellizza da Volpedo, Boccioni, Fontana, Manzoni…);
- Do not develop prejudices about contemporary art.
Result of the activity
All the participants seemed to be very interested about contemporary art. Moreovere, as demonstrated by some feedbacks they sent us, they really enjoyed the guided tour. They actively participated in the conversations and answered the quiz correctly.
