The objective of the activity was to explore the world of leather (a material typical of our region) by participating in a small workshop where participants created their own keychains using leather that would otherwise have been discarded. Following this, they delved into the world of truffles during the truffle exhibition, gaining an understanding of the importance of this product within the Truffle Museum located in San Miniato Alto and how climate change is posing a threat to this sector as well.
The event began with a leather workshop, introducing some key topics about leather, its sustainability, and the differences compared to using materials like plastic. Afterwards, we visited the truffle exhibition and the Truffle Museum, where we gained insights into this fascinating world from a truffle hunter.
