The Länderabend (German, literally "country evening") aims at Cultural exchange in the easiest way imaginable: through food. It is supposed to showcase local cuisines of different countries or cultures, one on every edition. The cooks are local or exchange students that typically come from that cultural background and are usually not members of our ESN section. The Länderabend is also intended to be socially inclusive, as anyone can sign up and food is offered to participants for free.
Beyond that, Länderabend takes place at a conveniently located venue in the city center near the university, and the location also allows students to stay and socialize. Beverages are also offered, however, not for free.
Welcome to the Länderabend, or country evening. It is a meeting place for students from different countries. Every two weeks on Monday one country will show off their food and culture for free!
The host country of this event is Hungary 🇭🇺
Sustainability is important to us: Please bring your own bowl and cutlery (that you will then also take home again). If you do not have a bowl, they will be sold at the event.
It is a good opportunity for becoming acquainted with exchange experiences and get in touch with eating habits and dishes from different countries all over the world.
