Teaching Erasmus Students how to properly have a conversation in everyday situations in the language of the Country so as to enhance their learning skills and give them the chance to practice them both at work and in the University context. Furthermore, through practice and interactive lessons, the goal of the course is to provide them with insights of the language that normally are not part of the University italian courses' programs.
The students have been divided in classes basing on their level (which was primarly tested through a placement test) and for each group there were from 1 to three ESNers as teachers. Classes were once per week for 1h30, generally after their University courses.
Each group follows a plan based on the level of the group and on the students' doubts about the language and its comparability to their mothertongue. As a matter of fact, the different origins of the students are taken into account and are frequent the cases of exchange in idiomatic expressions and language structure. The lessons were in English for the beginner groups and in Italian for the most advanced ones.
During the course there are activities of consolidation of the language through events like Movie Night in Italian.
