Events like this bring Erasmus and International students together, giving them a chance to meet up with their friends, make new ones, try new activities, learn, and relax. Our goal is to organize events with a wide variety of topics, including cultural, social, sports, or parties. These are the perfect times for cultural exchange and networking, and in the process they strengthen the multicultural community at the University of Pécs. Moreover, these social gatherings give chance to unforgettable moments that the students will bring with them whenever they go home from their studies.
For our Instant Connections event, students will check in, receive name tags, and start with “Two Truths and a Lie” to break the ice. We’ll have tables arranged in a circle, and participants will engage in games like “Find Someone Who,” “Question Swap,” and “Name, Place, Animal, Thing.” They’ll have 3-minute one-on-one conversations before rotating to meet others. After a refreshment break, we'll hold a group discussion to share experiences and exchange contact details. The event will conclude with thanks and reminders. I and my ESNers in the social committee will ensure everything runs smoothly, and I will gather feedback to improve future events.
