The goal of the activity was the Erasmus students to make new friends to mix with each other, not to stay together students from the same nationality or from the same university. And we proudly can say that the goal was reached.
ESN Plovdiv gathered all the Erasmus students in an iconic neighbourhood in Plovdiv, Kapana, to do some ice-breaking games in a local coffee shop. At their arrival the Erasmus students where receiving a welcome beverage with a small snack.
We had an entire floor from the coffee shop for us. At the beginning they were talking to each other till all the participants gather.
Our first game was a Human Bingo (There were different model, to make it more interesting). All participants were struggling to complete the Bingo as they had at least one box missing. But because many people were missing just one box, we decided to give all those persons a small award.
The second game consisted on making towers with spaghetti and marshmallows. For this game we divided the participants in teams and they had to build the highest tower with a marshmallow on the top. The catchy part was that they had to build the tower without speaking English, but only their local language. ESN Plovdiv also provided a small award for the winners of the game.
After that the participants just spoke between each other.
