The objective of the event was to give basic information to members about first aid techniques, so as to know how and when to intervene, each within the limits of their abilities and knowledge. The objective was therefore to provide knowledge that could be useful both during ESN events and outside.
The event was structured in several parts. At the beginning there was a seminar with information about anatomy/physiology and basic information regarding first aid. The second part was more practical, with procedures on the dummy regarding cardio-pulmonary resuscitation techniques. The third phase was built with typical first intervention scenarios in which the participants had to identify themselves and therefore intervene as appropriate. Finally, there was room for questions and discussions about the meeting.
