Show the Erasmus students the Lecco/Como lake from a different point of view, not only by hanging out near the water but also by taking them along simple trails though the woods and the hills which surround the lake. In doing so, small villages, viewpoints and other attractions can be experienced while having a healty 4 hour walk. At the same time, towards the end of the day, a visit to the well known Orrido di Bellano and a swim in Bellano complemented well the rest of the activity.
We started our walk in Varenna, from where we made a quick stop to Fiumelatte (famous for having one of the shortest rivers in Italy, which is well advertised by a sign). Then we moved up in the hills and woods that surround the lake while going towards Bellano by following "Il sentiero del viandante". We stopped for lunch at a nice church in the woods where we also had plenty of time to relax and take a quick nap. Once we finally arrived in Bellano we stopped to visit the Orrido di Bellano for the price of 5 euros each, before moving towards the beach where the day ended by having a swim in the lake and playing frisbee.
