Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity was to raise awareness of HIV transmission and the use of contraceptive methods to avoid disease transmission.

Description

On the occasion of World AIDS Day we organized an activity in collaboration with the Italian Red Cross (Comitato di Verona) to raise awareness of HIV transmission. To make the learning process more fun we decided to divide the partecipants into groups and turn the evening into a quiz night: each group was given was given some papers with various drawings of activities that they had to classify as low or high risk in terms of HIV transmission. A Red Cross volunteer was assigned to each group to guide the students through the game and answer their questions. At the end of each round, the Red Cross volunteers revealed the correct answers and explained how to prevent the transmission of STDs by using various contraceptive methods.
