Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity was to show them one of the main cities of Emilia Romagna, our region, Ferrara, and a small but beautiful village, Comacchio.

Description

Ferrara is a city extremely rich in history and a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance thanks to the Estensi dynasty, whose castle is located right in the middle of the historic center .

The city is a real open-air museum, so that it has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we had the opportunity to visit it together with Ferrara’s ESN section, which offered us a beautiful city tour telling us secrets and curiosities.

Then we visited Comacchio, near Ferrara, also known as 'Little Venice'. It is a town located in the Delta Park of river Po, the longest river in Italy. Accompanied by two local guides who spoke Italian and English, we explored the historic center of Comacchio, strolling through the canals and alleys of enchanting colors.
