Goal of the Activity
This event aimed at showing an important part of the city of Coimbra's culture. Fado is a Portuguese music genre which was recently considered UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is also still part of Coimbra's student traditions, with many festivities being organized around Fado ballads and groups, like the famous serenades during the beginning or end of the academic year.
Description
This activity was organized together with a group of Fado singers and traditional Portuguese guitar players. Participants sat together enjoying Portuguese wine while watching and listening to the Fado group, whose singer would explain the meaning and history of the songs in between their performance.
This activity happened during the initiative "Erasmus Days".
