To reduce the waste produced by the students leaving.
To avoid throwing useful things away when you leave your flat this summer, ESN Vaasa has arranged a couple of dates with SPR KIRPPIS (the second-hand store you all know and love) to pick up donations.
People from SPR Kirppis will come to get the donations on the following dates and places:
- 19th May: 16:00-17:00 Linna / 17:00-17:30 Ahventie
- 31st May 16:00-17:00 Linna / 17:00-17:30 Ahventie
These are the only dates agreed with Kirppis . If you are leaving before or after these dates, please arrange something with your friends/neighbors who are leaving earlier/later than you. That way, they can give out the things on your behalf and you will be supporting the planet by allowing other people in the future to re-use the things you donated. You can also contact the Kirppis to arrange your own pick up from 040 505 6452.
Items in good condition will be accepted
Broken/worn-out items will be returned
Remember you will be DONATING things, and by that, you are supporting the Finnish Red Cross. Neither you nor ESN Vaasa will receive any money from these donations.
If you want to sell your things instead of donating them, that is of course OK. We encourage you to start posting them on FB marketplace or any other platform well in advance so that you don't have to throw them away the day you leave Vaasa.
