To welcome international students to Dublin and to introduce the ESN UCD committee members for the first time. Our "Dublin for Dummies" presentation also offered a variety of tips and tricks for living in the city.
In our first event of the year, we introduced the current ESN committee members while also explaining who the ESN are, what we do, and how to contact us throughout the year. Our "Dublin for Dummies" presentation proved very successful and served as an introduction for life in Dublin City Centre. The public transport system was explained and various tips and tricks were shared ranging from where to do grocery shopping, the best places to go for Dublin night life and how to understand the various words and phrases used by people in Dublin that are synonymous with Irish culture. Tea, coffee and biscuits were served after the event to allow attendees to chat and get to know each other.
