The event aimed to provide some basic grammar of Italian language and useful vocabulary for everyday life. The intended level for the lesson was A1 A2.
25 places were made available.
An ESNer made a brief presentation of himself in Italian to start the class (name, what he studies, how old he is, where he comes from). Each Erasmus then made the same presentation aloud.
The lesson began with the reading of the Italian alphabet.
Then Erasmus students were asked to spell their name by working in groups of 4 people. The ESNers passed through the tables to listen and help.
ESNers read aloud a dialogue set in a restaurant. In groups of 4, Eramsus tried to translate it, ESNers then asked the participants (in a row) to translate the sentences aloud.
Moreover the present of the 3 regular conjugations was explained, reading it aloud and making it repeat in chorus to Erasmus.
Each group of 4 Erasmus students tried to conjugate 4 regular verbs in a list.
It was time for the present of two very frequent irregular verbs ("volere" and "potere").
Eramsus created on a sheet a table showing "Names, things, cities, food, drinks" in the cells at the top. ESNers explained the game by making an example with the letter S and explained the attribution of the score (2 points if the answer is original, 1 point if someone else wrote it equal and 0 points if you do not answer). Erasmus competed against the other members of their group (composed of 4 people).
To play the game Erasmus was given 1 minute for each of the 4 letters. At the end, the person who had achieved the highest score within their group got a chocolate as a prize.
